    FAQs About Live FPL Leagues

    Frequently Asked Questions

Log into the official Fantasy Premier League website at fantasy.premierleague.com, go to the 'Points' tab, and check the URL in your browser. Your Team ID is the number after 'entry/', for example, in fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/123456/event/1, your ID is 123456. On the FPL app, go to the 'Points' tab, tap the three dots menu, and select 'Share Team' to find the link containing your ID. Once you enter it on LiveFPL, we'll automatically load all your mini-leagues.

Only leagues you've actively joined will appear. LiveFPL automatically filters out auto-joined leagues like 'Overall', team supporter leagues (e.g., 'Liverpool'), and country/region leagues, since these typically have millions of managers and aren't useful for head-to-head tracking. If a league you expect to see is missing, make sure you've joined it on the official FPL website, it can take a few minutes for new leagues to appear in the API.

Live points are calculated in real-time using the official FPL scoring algorithm. This includes goals, assists, clean sheets, minutes played, saves, penalty saves, and all other point-scoring events. Captain points are doubled (or tripled if Triple Captain is active), transfer point deductions are subtracted, and provisional bonus points are estimated based on live BPS data. The result is an accurate live score for every manager in your league, updated every 60 seconds during matches.

Players to Play shows how many of a manager's starting XI still have matches left in the current gameweek. This is crucial for mini-league battles, a rival on fewer points but with 5 players still to play is a bigger threat than someone closer but with 0 left. It helps you assess whether a lead is safe or if there's still time for rivals to overtake. The count only includes starting XI players, not bench players (unless Bench Boost is active).

The chip badges show each manager's available and active chips: WC (Wildcard, unlimited free transfers for one gameweek), FH (Free Hit, temporary squad for one gameweek), BB (Bench Boost, bench players score points for one gameweek), and TC (Triple Captain, captain earns triple points for one gameweek). Badges are shown in a muted style when available and highlighted with animation when actively played in the current gameweek. This helps you spot when rivals are using chips and plan your own strategy accordingly.

LiveFPL shows live scores, rank movement, and players to play for all managers in your mini-league table. To view a specific rival's full squad, you can enter their Team ID directly into the Live Rank Tracker. This lets you see their starting XI, bench, captain choice, and live points breakdown, useful for tracking close rivals in the final matches of a gameweek.

During live matches, LiveFPL includes provisional bonus points and real-time scoring events that the official FPL site hasn't confirmed yet. The official site only updates league standings after all matches are complete and bonus points are finalised. Once a gameweek finishes and all points are confirmed, the standings should match. Small differences during live matches are expected and usually come down to bonus point projections.
